Job seekers in Pakistan and globally have no single platform that combines AI resume building, ATS scoring, mock interviews, skill-gap analysis, cover letter generation, and a job board in one place. Most career tools are scattered, expensive, or US-only. As an AI Application Developer I wanted to build a platform where a fresh graduate could upload their resume, get an instant ATS score, generate an AI-tailored cover letter for any job posting, practice mock interviews with feedback, and apply to jobs — all in one workflow.

My Skills is a comprehensive AI-powered career development platform with 7 dedicated AI tools: Career Assistant chatbot, Resume Analyzer with ATS scoring, AI Resume Builder with 5 templates, Cover Letter Generator, Skill Gap Analyzer, Career Roadmap planner, and Mock Interview prep with real-time feedback. The platform includes a full job board with application tracking, a recruiter portal for candidate management, and an extensive admin dashboard with 8 tabs covering analytics, user management, security, and content control. Three user roles (User, Recruiter, Admin) are supported with NextAuth.js authentication and 22 database models.

Next.js 16 App Router with TypeScript delivers the entire SaaS. Prisma ORM abstracts 22 database models against SQLite (production-ready for swap to PostgreSQL). NextAuth.js handles authentication with role-based access control. The z-ai-web-dev-sdk powers all 7 AI tools — resume analysis, resume building, cover letter generation, skill gap analysis, career roadmaps, mock interviews, and the career assistant chatbot. Zustand manages client state, TanStack Query handles server state, and Recharts visualizes analytics. The platform supports dark/light themes via next-themes and is fully mobile-first responsive.
